A couple of months ago I stumbled on this amazing club, and decided what better way to get the word out than to shoot a micro-documentary. Connie Lansberg; the Quartets vocalist gives a brief rundown of their operations… but the main thing here is the music!
So the deal is they don’t tell you their location until you book; hence the venues name: ‘A Secret Place’
Hidden away in Melbourne’s CBD, this little-known gem offers an opulent and intimate musical experience. While sipping on the city’s best cocktails, the audience is caressed by the swinging lilt of the Connie Lansberg Quartet. One moment you are on the streets of Melbourne Australia, then, after following a secret combination of doors, you arrive in a preserved time-warp of the 1950s-New-York Jazz scene.
